Groovy nails :)

OK so I have neglected my nails a little lately (due to uni taking over my life !! lol) so I thought it was only fair to give them a bit of TLC they deserve. So on my trip to town today I picked up some new nail varnishes from my local Boots. I bought 3 shades of 17 High Gloss Nail Polish.

The colours are Luau which is a creamy pink/peach with a slight shimmer, Ruby Slippers which is a peachy red colour with shimmer and lastly, Night Shade which is a glossy black.
There was a offer on 17 products at the moment where you buy any product and get a varnish for free (£2.79 each). Now I am always one for a bargain so I really couldn't resist this offer lol.
Another bargain I came across today was a nail gem kit consisting of:- 2 wooden positioning sticks, nail buffer and 10 variety's of gems , all for £1.00 from my local pound land lol :)

I used the black varnish today which i have to say was quite difficult to put on at first, but the result turned out to be good. I found the gems really easy to apply using the little wooden stick, and found that a clear nail varnish is great alternative to using glue and it only took around 5 minutes to apply them. I then added a top coat of clear varnish just to make sure the gems stay in place.
Hope you all agree that this look is a great quick and cheap home alternative to the salon !

A bit of hair fun!

OK so I have mentioned the fact that I am quite random and maybe a tad strange but hey, someone has to be lol. I decided to whip out my old American Dream clip in hair extensions which I haven't used since I had my hair cut short. The shade of brown is number 1 which is almost black, but this is now too dark to match my hair shade now. I thought it would be quite comical to take a picture of me having had literally slapped them on my head. For some reason the photo makes them look far tidier than they really were (seriously my boyfriend took the photos and i think the image still haunts him now lol).
Oh and just for the record the stupid facial expression was intended!! :) xxxx

Cat in a bag! :P

These are pictures of my little bundle of joy Precious the cat, she is absolutely adorable! I managed to take these snaps today which i just thought I would share with you as I think she looks super cute. As you can see she has a fetish for carrier bags and enjoys nothing better then to 'shop til she drops'. Wonder where she could possibly have got that from???? hmmmm lol :)
xxxoooxxx

Yay for Gosh liquid eyeliners!!

After hearing lots of positive reviews about how fab Gosh liquid liners are, I decided to whip mine back out of the closet! I purchased my Shade 11 Gosh liner quite a few months ago before the hype so I unfortunately couldn't take advantage of the 3 for 2 offer :P.
I wanted to go create quite a bright effect on my eyes to compliment the lovely sunny weather we had last week, so thought that this particular shade of blue/turquoise would be perfect in achieving just that. To create an even more intense effect I used some electric blue mascara (collection 2000 or Beauty UK do a great low cost version, around £2.00! :) ).
I was really quite impressed with the look when I had finished, Hope you guys agree !!

Life is too short, so use it wisely!

After taking into account all of the devastating and painstakingly sad stories in the news during the past few weeks I have reached the conclusion that life really is too short and we need to use our time wisely! The recent news headlines have all revolved around the tragic and premature deaths of both Jade Goody and Natasha Richardson. Jade lost her life this passing mothers day to cervical cancer, aged only 27. Natasha Richardson passed away last week after a tragic skiing accident left her with brain damage at the age of 45.

It is such a terrible thing to see such young people loosing there lives and leaving behind young families. I think that we should use these tragedies to consider our own lives and how we take life for granted! I personally think that so many of us waste our lives worrying about such petty things and at the same time not fully appreciating just how lucky we all are to have family and friends who love us! :)
I think that life really is for living and we should try not to waste the time we have by hating ourselves or constantly trying to be something else that we are not. We all need to try and love ourselves and instead of trying to change who we are. We all need to stop focusing so much on how we look, so much so that we punish our bodies by:- trying to achieve that unrealistic figure we have in our head, Over using sun beds at our own expense just because we so desperately 'need' a tan.
All of these things seem so trivial when you think about how we are so lucky to have our health. Remember life is what you make it after all so why waste it or shorten the time we have?? :)

Random Photo

Ok so no one actually tagged me to do this post :/ but i saw it on my friend kellys blog and thought it would be fun to do myself! lol

When i looked in my 4th photo folder and then the 4th photo i was horrified to see this picture, how ever i thought i would post it as i am an honest person and will just have to cope with the shame lol.

There is you will be glad to here a perfectly innocent explanation for this photo. I took the picture of my bra (Primarni special may i add :)) because i had bought the wrong size and decided to sell it on ebay. It was brand new with tags and cost only £4.00, yet some one paid me £6.00 and £1.25 postage even though they knew it cost me less!? Happy Days for me though so i am not by no means complaining.

So there you have it, i did warn you im quite random :p

Ultra Bland Cleanser yay or nay?

I recently purchased the Lush Ultra Bland Cleanser from one of my many spur of the moment splurges :)
I wasnt recommended this product however I have heard that some of the other Lush skin products are worth investing in such as Baby Face as recommeded by Dressjunkie and Kelanjo. I generally dislike using any products on my skin and tend only to use baby wipes. This is mainly because i am lucky enough not to have problem skin, so i dont really feel the need for many facial skin products and fear they may create a problem :/ However lost in the moment I decided to bite the bullet and give this cleanser a whirl and to my relief, it is great!
The texture of the cleanser is quite thick and has tiny exfoliating particles that clean out any makeup or dirt from the pores really well. (I was appalled at the amount of 'crap' i would have left on my skin!). The product doesnt have a particularly pleasant scent to it because of the all natural ingrediants and no added perfumes, but by no means is it horrible.
Overall i think this product is really good as it cleanses and moisturises all in one and so left my skin feeling really soft and smooth, so can see why it is one of the Lush cult products! It costs around £8.76 for 100g so isnt cheap, but doesnt break the bank either so its all round YAY! :)

Tantastic! :)

Ok so i thought i would do a post about my fab new tan :). Like many I have naturally pale skin and unfortunatly this more often than not turns purple with the cold. Along with this i have also been blessed with what i call 'cornbeef legs' lol. Yeah thats right, you know what im talking about and it is not a good look.
I was up until last september, quite a heavy sun bed user until after my holidays i just couldnt find time to use them. I then decided to try and embrace the paleness but with my friend kelly's skin colour becoming more bronzed by the day i couldnt ignore the need to be brown too! lol
After a recent visit to River Island to find a new outfit i realised that my skin colour seemed to make all the outfits i tried on look so bland.
After being recommended Doves summer glow tinted moisteriser by Kelly (kelanjo), i decided to give it a whirl. I found the product really easy to apply and didnt take very long to soak in. The scent of the cream doesnt have a strong fake tan smell to it as the others i have tried, instead it is more subtle with the traditional dove domineering.
I really recommend this product because i find that the result is really natural looking and develops evenly. I bought the medium to dark skin lotion because i new the results would be more apparent. I applied the cream in the evening after showering and by morning the resluts were great. I have included pictures to show what my skin looked like before and after appling the product on 3 occations. I have to point out that the photos really do not do this product the justice it deserves, so i would recommend you try it out for yourselves :) xx
